Welcome to the virtual shipwreck artifact Museum on Deep Image.co.uk.

What to expect;
In time maybe these pages will grow into the largest display of artifacts recovered from lost shipwrecks on the Internet. We expect to post archived images in several formats from the seabed to the finished display, as well as the very best web links on the subject.

Displayed recoveries from the 1876 White Star line built clipper 'Smyrna' lost off the Isle
of Wight England in April 1888. The wreck was discovered during June of 1993 in 188ft
depth. Pictured above are chamber pots, a porthole, flagon and a Victorian soda siphon
recovered by deep image author Leigh Bishop whom was amongst those investigating
divers back in 93. A full report and images of this magnificent shipwreck will be posted at
a later date on this site.

A Beautifully restored Victorian dolphin
compass Binnacle stand recovered from the SS Athen. Completed in 1893 the 2199-ton Steamship passed ownership several times before her loss in 1906. The events that caused her loss still remain uncertain after numerous leads of research although having said that we do know that she suffered a violent collision with the ssThor. The wreck lies in 188ft depth off Weymouth England. A full report of this shipwreck will be posted in due time. This fabulous binnacle was recovered in August of 1983. More images of this to come soon.

Deep wreck diver Kev Pickering displays a double handled telegraph head. Kev (pix) recovered the head from an unknown wreck at 280ft depth in offshore southern Irish waters during the season of 2000. As and when he finishes the restoration job Deep Image will post photographs of the finished artifact.
