Decompression by Leigh Bishop

As the team decompress in the clear Atlantic waters the late evening sun blends the
ending daylight over the divers to create the silhouette effect. This image was taken using
a Canon T90 with a Sigma 20mm lens inside an old Subal housing. The camera was
manually set to a very fast shutter speed with an aperture to F11. Ambient light
photography is a subject in it self and certainly one of my favourite methods of creating
images. I used to be real disappointed if I hadn't used all my film on the wreck but now
its quite the reverse as I like to fine tune decompression images with a least one or two
remaining frames after a dive. I like the sense of relaxation this image throws out.
